What are the Sacraments?
In our goal of caring for people in body. mind and spirit, our Spiritual Care department is committed to providing the Sacraments to our Catholic patients, which are intended strengthen and express our faith and bring healing our bodies. As the Catechism of the Catholic Church reads, the sacraments are signs of God’s grace to those who receive them…

“The sacraments are efficacious signs of grace instituted by Christ and entrusted to the Church by which divine life is dispensed to us. The visible rites by which the sacraments are celebrated signify and make present the graces proper to each sacrament. They bear fruit in those who receive them with the required dispositions.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church #1131, p. 293)

•	Sacrament of the Sick (formerly called Extreme Unction or Last Rites)
•	Eucharist (and Confession if needed)
•	Emergency Baptism
