Q: I’m not religious. I guess I don’t need Spiritual Care… right?

 
A: Many people connect the word “spiritual” with “religious.” We don’t. We like to us the word “spiritual” in the broadest sense.

At Little Company of Mary the word “spiritual” means that part of us in which we find our meaning, value and purpose in life. For some people these things are found in religious traditions, beliefs about God, and specific rituals.  

 
For others, “spirituality” is much less defined – like a sunset, an emotional conversation with a close friend, or a sudden awareness of something amazing. These often awaken the “spiritual” side of us.
